In 2011, Rod Argent and Colin Bluntstone put a band together and performed a gig as the Zombies in Metropolis Studio in front of 120 of their biggest fans. The show has now been released on a CD/DVD package.
The band performed 19 songs, including the Zombies greatest hits, including “Summertime,” “She’s Not There” and “Time of the Season.” Also included is the Rod Argent classic “Hold Your Head Up.” The concert sounds amazing and seeing the band perform in the ultimate personal setting is very cool. Argent and Bluntstone were totally digging the gig as the DVD shows.
This is a great package and a great set by a classic band who still have the desire to do it right. The DVD wins by a hair over the CD if only for the fact that this was an iconic band playing in front of such a small crowd and the energy this brings to the performance.
