Imagine that it is May of 2017…you are at the Royal Albert Hall. So is Paul Rodgers. He’s on stage. You’re in the audience. He is playing an entire set of songs by a band he co-founded called Free. His backing band is Deborah Bonham’s band… as in John Bonham’s sister.

You get to hear and experience that…life is good!

Wait a second…you were not there.

You did not get to be a part of this amazing concert.

Sucks to be you…until NOW!

Yep…now you can be there as many times as you want as this concert is now available on CD! And it is beyond words good. The band has Free down pat and Rodgers…well Paul is his usual amazing self.

This man is a living testament to excellence. He sounds so bleeping good the hairs will raise on your arms from the opening verse of “Little Bit of Love” and will stand at full attention until he’s done singing the final word of “Catch a Train.” 

Free is not as well known in the USA as Rodgers’ other bands Bad Company and The Firm with Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin fame. It’s a shame really as Free is a blues/soul/rock dynamo that kicked out song after song of killer music. Rodgers and the band were very young…and they didn’t last. That’s what makes this show so damn spectacular. Rodgers sounds as good singing these songs—maybe better—than he did when he was but a wee lad!

He has an energy on the stage that is intense as he revisits a very important part of his past. Just check out the classic songs “Mr. Big,” “The Stealer,” “Fire and Water,” “The Hunter,” “Wishing Well” and “Walk In My Shadow” for proof.  Then crank up the massive hit “All Right Now” and you will understand just why Free is so great! 

They will become a regular part of your music collection…if they are not so already.  

Hats off to the band behind the man on Free Spirit as well. They know what they are doing, as Rodgers himself recognizes when he states:  

“I've been making music for a long, long, long time, so to get super charged and re-inspired to perform was a revelation. I loved the Free Spirit Tour and the guys who helped create the magic—Pete Bullick, Rich Newman, Ian Rowley and Gerard ‘G’ Louis. I hope you feel it too; just lose yourself in the music and let it fuel your soul.”

Not only can you now own a recording of this concert, there is more good news…

Paul Rodgers is taking this type of concert on the road in the USA as part of The Stars Align Tour with Jeff Beck and Ann Wilson.

This promises to be the tour of the year!
