There is a danger of doing cover albums. For starters the market is saturated with them. They also put you in a weird spot as a band. While it is cool to share your influences with your fan base in this manner it can backfire if you don't bring anything new to the table. It is even worse if the remakes are a pale comparison of the original. Sadly...that is the case here.

This album just comes off a UFO being a bad bar band. To be honest, I have heard unknown bar bands do better versions of these songs. I am not trying to be a downer or a dick...but this stuff just isn't very good.

Part of the problem is that vocalist Phil Moog is not what he once was. I get it..lead singers have a very tough time as the decades. Their instrument is their body. Time wears on it. Phil does not sound horrible but he struggles at times. And...he may not have the chops for The Doors, Robin Trower, Mountain and the Yardbirds. They just do not fit.

The best of the bunch are “The Pusher” and “In My Life.” The rest...not so much.

This one is only for UFO's biggest fans...So...that said...Eddie Trunk may disagree with this review.

If this CD were a baseball game it would not be a strikeout but rather a softly hit foul ball to the right side of the infield…easy out.
