Rating: A

It’s a rare day in the year 2017 when a new release from a 1980’s rock band melts your system’s speakers! I gotta tell ya…that’s what Full Circle from Great White just did to mine! Trust me…this is not just a great album for this day and age…this is a great rock album period…meaning there is no need to even read the rest of this review as I am just going to tell you to…Buy this sucker!

Produced by Michael Wagener, a friend of the band who happens to be a true rock ‘n’ roll icon. Wagener first worked with Great White in 1983 on the independently released Out of the Night, which helped to kick start the band’s career.  Now, a few decades down the line and Wagener has assisted the band into kicking it into high gear once again. Look…Full Circle is as good as I am making it out to be.  If this album had been released in 1985 it would be multi-platinum in no time.  It is not just a return to the classic Great White sound and attitude, it is a standalone great album.  So…what are you waiting for?  Buy this album!

When I saw that “I’m Alright” and “Movin’ On” were the names of the first two tracks I wondered if the band were throwing some classic Kenny Loggins and Bad Company at us.  Nope…no hit song remake this time around!  These two tunes, as well as the rest of the album, are one hundred percent Great White written!  “Let Me In” is the obligatory chick ballad while “Moonshine” is a fun rocker with a great hook. “This is the Life” may be the hardest rocking all-around killer tune this band has done since the glory daze—err--days.  If this one does not get you paying attention then you need to start buying albums by Bruno Mars! In fact, the entire album is nothing but killer blues/rock ear candy.

These days it is usually time to move on when you get to the last four songs on a new release.  Not so with Full Circle as the final four are arguably the strongest tracks on the album!  “Cry of a Nation” is a soulful tune with a groove and a vibe that make it simply addictive.  “Give It Up” starts out with a killer riff that sets the mood for the old school rocker to shine.  “Big Time” is the hit here, however.  The song features a bluesy clean channel guitar that will instantly bring a smile to the face of any Great White fan.  The song starts soft, builds slowly, has attitude and ends up being a hard rocker…sound familiar? The album ends with “Never Let You Down” which is also a killer blues/rock tune.  The band just sound so damn good on this one that the listener can’t wait to get through the rest of the album just to get to the final track…and then start it all over once again!

Before i say Buy this album! again I will tell you where to buy it! Click here: http://www.officialgreatwhite.com/store.html and buy Full Circle and you will also recieve a bonus DVD that is a ‘making of the album’ type thingy…and trust me, it is just as bad-ass as the music!
