Eagle Rock Entertainment is doing an excellent job of finding older concerts and preserving them.  Such is the case for this 1996 show from pop star Bryan Adams.  Bryan took the stage at the iconic Wembley Stadium in London and performed for over seventy thousand fans.

Adams was at the top of his game, mixing his boyish good looks and pop sensibility songwriting skills with his ability to relate to the age group he was selling records to.  This tour was in support of his massive 18 Till I Die album.  While it was a popular effort, it was not in the same category of his past work.  Despite having to sit through some ‘new stuff,’ there are plenty of cool songs for which Bryan Adams will be most remembered.  “Summer of 69,” “Cuts Like a Knife,” “Heaven” and “Run to You” are great classic tracks that make up for the other songs I deem ‘most likely to be skipped over.’

Melissa Etheridge joins Bryan where Tina Turner performed on the album to sing “It’s Only Love.”  There are a couple of remakes that make this a fun concert, including “Wild Thing” and “I Fought the Law.”

At the end of the day, this historic concert footage captures Adams on the top of the world performing to one of his biggest crowds.  It is a good concert and his fans will be thrilled to own it.
