Rating: B
This release features two great guitarists, 1000+ killer licks, riffs and solos and one bonus DVD containing two sets of live music.
Recorded at Canada’s famous Metalworks, this is a guitar player orgasm from start to finish. The show, which was streamed live over the Internet back in 2011, features Dave Martone jamming out several songs from his Magna Carta debut CD titled Clean. As great as his set it, when he brings Glen Drover on stage for the encore and the pair blast out Joe Satriani’s “Crush of Love” the place goes absolutely wild.
Drover, best known for his time as Megadeth’s lead guitar player, plays a headlining set that will have guitar player’s mouths agape. Drover pounds out Frank Zappa’s “Filthy Habits” and then for his encore he lets loose a cover of Megadeth’s “Symphony of Destruction.”
At the end of the day, this concert is more of a guitar symposium, as both men are very talented and very adapt at their craft. The songs are well performed and flawlessly executed. Hell, even the silliness of the Charlie Daniel’s tune is pretty cool. Don’t know what I am talking about? Then you will just have to buy this one and check it out for yourself.
